Victoria Hemmings has been a professional freelance make up artist for the world of film, TV, advertising and fashion for over a decade. Based in London and the South West.

The story so far…

Her fascination with make up, especially how it could transform a person into a character beyond imagination was born from watching film and TV as a child. Films like; The Wizard of Oz, The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth and Legend stamped a huge impression on her and along with her natural affinity with fine art and sculpture, so her love affair with make up for the silver screen was born.

After school , Victoria went on to University and earned a degree with Honours in Human Biology & Education, before following her heart and pursuing a career in make up.

The path to her make up career began at the world renowned University of the Arts: London College of Fashion. Victoria was fortunate enough to be interviewed and chosen for the’ Specialist Make Up Design, Film & TV Make Up’ degree course of which she was amongst only 11 others out of several thousand applicants. She graduated from LCF in 2007 with a ‘Distinction’ and has never looked back since. Victoria’s make up career has afforded her the opportunity to work and rub shoulders with some of the most incredible talents in the world and she adores her job with an absolute passion. Her professional, friendly and calm demeanour has enabled Victoria to establish long lasting relationships with many clients. Even her Biology background has benefited her on many occasions when designing prosthetic make ups for film and TV, as having an intimate understanding of anatomy and physiology is advantageous to say the least.

Victoria has had the opportunity to work on many high profile and international campaigns for; Disney, Vogue Italia, Apple, Jagermeister, Her Majesty’s Government, Simple Skin Care, Freederm Skin Care, Pro Plus, Mercedes, National Geographic, Royal Mail, Yahoo, Sky, Endemol, Channel 4, BBC and ITV. Victoria has lectured her profession at many colleges and has held events for the Institute of Directors. She has also worked with many celebrities and sports stars including; Lewis Hamilton, Jonnie Peacock, Nico Rosberg, Dido, Claire Richards, The Kaiser Chiefs, David Attenborough, Martin Compston and  Bear Grylls to name but a few.
